Trading Card Game The whole idea of the card game is that you build up a deck of good cards with a balance and you fight other Pokemon players and the winner gets prize cards off of the loser. This way you hope to build up your collection and get to be better and better. The electronic version of the trading card game is no different. You start off with a deck of cards pre-built and then you work to improve the deck and in end get the rare cards and beat all the Pokemon Masters. In the beginning it sounds like a good idea for a game, a portable card game that you can play anywhere, it has your favorite characters and you can play against your friends. However, there are some disappointments in this game that cannot be overlooked. The whole essence of a trading card game is the fun of playing the game with friends and the physical collecting of the cards. Anyone who has ever had a card collection will understand. You like to lay the cards out on a table to look at them, haggling with someone means more when the cards are real paper items, not just digital copies. So, that said, how does this game stack up against other Pokemon titles? I think that it is a reasonably fun game that suffers from the fact that it is more fun to play the card game in the real world. The Graphics What is there to say about the graphics for a Pokemon title. This one looks much like the others with the simple colors and designs. It is clear, easy to read and you can tell what all the objects are. My biggest complaint is the quality of the digital cards. The originals of these cards are bright and colorful, with nice detail. The digital cards are fuzzy, hard to read, and washed out. I think that if this is the whole basis of the game, the developer should have taken more care to reproduce the cards properly.
